Getting your Canadian Documents
- Social Insurance Number (SIN) - A nine-digit number that you need to work in Canada or to have access to government programs and benefits.
- Health Card - Issued by the provincial or territorial government and allows access to insured health care services.
- Drivers License – Issued by the province or territory government and allows the holder to legally drive a car in Canada. Check the provincial government web site for the province you will be locating in.
