All owners, key executives and partners must provide:
- Two forms of personal identification, one of which is issued by a government agency. For instance, driver’s license or passport.
- Taxpayer Identification Number: Employer Identification Number (EIN) for business and Social Security Number (SSN) for individuals
- Photocopies of all Beneficial Owners’ personal identification and physical address and date of birth

Switch your payments and deposits
- Complete the Business Automatic Payment Change Form and Business Automatic Deposit Change Form
- Provide to each company or vendor to request any automatic payments and deposits switch to your new account.
Start using your new account
- Sign up for BMO Digital Banking to conveniently check balances, make transfers, pay bills and deposit checks.
- Easily transfer funds to your new account using Mobile Deposit2footnote 2 - simply write a check from your old account and take a picture using your phone.
- Choose your card for easy access to your business checking account:
Close your old account
- Make sure all automatic transactions have been changed to your new BMO account. Also, check that any outstanding checks, debits and automated payments through online banking or your debit card have cleared.
- You can then complete the Account Closing Form and send it to your former bank to officially close your old account.
