A merchant account is a type of business bank account that allows businesses to process electronic payments such as debit and credit cards. The merchant account acts as the middleman between the swiping of the card and the deposit of the money into a business deposit account. It allows businesses to receive the money for transactions almost immediately instead of waiting for the customer to pay their credit card bills.

- footnote 1 details Merchants will receive a one-time merchant services statement credit based on their projected annual processing volume as supported by three months of their recent payment processing statements.
- - One-time statement credit of $300: No annual processing volume requirement
  - One-time statement credit of $600: $150,000 or more in annual processing volume
- To qualify for a statement credit, merchants must (1) be approved and open a new Merchant Services account with Elavon between November 1, 2024 and October 31, 2025, and (2) activate their merchant services account within 30 days of account approval. A new merchant services account is activated by authorizing and settling a $10 minimum payment transaction. The statement credit will be applied to your Merchant Services account within 30 to 60 days after you activate your account. Limit one (1) offer per Merchant ID (MID), regardless of the number of business locations. All merchant account applications are subject to underwriting and approval by Elavon. Offer available for new merchant services customers only. Offer excludes talech Mobile solutions.
