How it works

  1. Swipe your AIR MILES collector cardBring your collector card when you visit a Shell station and swipe it before finalizing your transaction.
  2. Use your BMO AIR MILES credit cardPay with your BMO AIR MILES credit card to finalize the transaction.
  3. Check your receipt You’ll see the discount confirmed on your receipt! You can also get your discount automatically when you pay with the Shell App. Just load it with your BMO credit card and your AIR MILES collector number.

BMO AIR MILES credit cards are already linked to your AIR MILES collector account. You can also link your BMO debit or non-AIR MILES credit card on the AIR MILES card link page.

  1. Get an AIR MILES collector account Sign up for an  AIR MILES collector account if you don’t have one yet.
  2. Link your BMO debit or credit cardLink your existing BMO debit or credit card with your AIR MILES collector account on the AIR MILES card link page.
  3. Fuel up at a Shell stationCollect your fuel benefit by swiping your AIR MILES collector card and then pay with your linked BMO debit or credit card at a Shell station.

You can also pay with the Shell App to get your discount automatically. Simply load it with your BMO credit card and your AIR MILES collector number.

Frequently asked questions

  • View AIR MILES to link your BMO credit or debit card number with your AIR MILES collector number. You’ll receive a confirmation on the AIR MILES website when your BMO card is linked successfully.

    You can sign up for an AIR MILES collector account if you don’t have one yet, too. Please note that BMO AIR MILES cards don’t need to be linked.

  • You can get the fuel benefit instantly if you have an existing BMO AIR MILES credit card, but it can take up to 5 days for new BMO AIR MILES cardholders to start receiving the benefit. Otherwise, the fuel benefit will be available within 5 days of linking your AIR MILES collector number with your BMO debit or credit card.

  • You’re eligible for the fuel benefit if you have a BMO AIR MILES credit card, or if you have an eligible AIR MILES collector number that’s linked with an eligible BMO credit or debit card. 

    Please note that these products are ineligible:   

    • BMO U.S. Dollar Mastercard®* 
    • Pre-paid credit cards 
    • Corporate and commercial credit and debit cards 
    • Business banking debit cards 

    Your AIR MILES collector number must be linked with your BMO credit card or debit card to receive the fuel benefit. All products must be valid at the time of purchase between March 18, 2024 – December 31, 2024. 

    You can link your eligible BMO credit card or debit card through AIR MILES.

  • Yes! You can combine this fuel benefit with other BMO and Shell offers unless specified otherwise in the terms and conditions. Eligible CAA members can save an additional $0.03 per litre up to 1,000 litres per month at participating Shell locations (excluding Flying J locations and Quebec) between March 18, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

  • If all requirements have been met, the fuel pump price on screen and on your receipt will reflect the discounted cents off per litre.

  • You can claim your CAA fuel benefit one of two ways: 

    1. Swipe at the pump. Insert your CAA Membership card at the time of purchase, followed by your AIR MILES collector card. Complete the transaction with a BMO credit or debit card at the pump to receive the full discount.
    2. Pay with the Shell App. You can make your purchase through the Shell App using your linked BMO credit card if you load both your CAA and AIR MILES Membership numbers in the Shell App. 

  • If you have an active CAA membership in good standing outside of Quebec, you can link it to your Shell account in the Shell App under Programs and Memberships.

  • No. If you’ve linked your card and you are the primary cardholder, then additional cardholders will be linked as well.
