- BMO AIR MILES Mastercard applications must be received between March 24, 2025 and June 1, 2026 (the “Offer Period”). 1,200 AIR MILES Bonus Miles offer is limited to new accounts. Existing BMO AIR MILES Mastercard customers who cancel their card during the Offer Period, and existing BMO Mastercard customers who transfer into this product during the Offer Period are not eligible.
In order to earn the 1,200 Bonus Miles, the following conditions must be met:
a. Spend $1,500 in net card purchases (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) within the first 110 days after the account open date.
b. Keep the account open and in good standing for at least 110 days
All Bonus Miles will be credited in accordance with the set balance preference (between AIR MILES Cash and AIR MILES Dream balances) at the time of posting. - a) Subject to these Terms and Conditions, each balance transfer amount is eligible for a promotional interest rate of 0.99% provided that each balance transfer is posted to your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard account (the “Account”) in the first 9 (nine) statement periods from the Account open date (“Promotional Period”) , and your Account remains in good standing. Offer is available to new customers only upon Account approval for applications submitted on or after September 2, 2022. Balances from other BMO credit card accounts are not eligible to be transferred. The promotional rate will no longer apply to your Account if you transfer into a card other than the BMO AIR MILES Mastercard. Balance transfers apply to Canadian dollar amounts only.
b) Balance transfers do not qualify to earn loyalty rewards such as AIR MILES Reward Miles. Balance transfers are treated as cash advances and the promotional interest rate applies from the date the transactions are posted to your Account until the last day of the Promotional Period. After the Promotional Period expires, any remaining balance transfer amounts will be charged interest at the standard annual interest rate for cash advances. The promotional interest rate of 0.99% does not apply to purchases, fees, cash advances and other charges posted to your Account during the Promotional Period. Standard interest rates will continue to apply to those transactions. Please refer to your monthly statement for the interest rate applicable to your Account.
c) Each balance transfer is subject to a fee of 2% which will be charged to your account on the date the balance transfer is posted to your Account. For example, if an amount of $1,000 is transferred to your Account, you will be charged a fee of $20. You may request a balance transfer for as low as $100, as long as the transfer amount plus the fee, does not exceed the unused portion of the credit limit on your Account.
d) If your Account has balances with different interest rates, such as purchases with a standard interest rate and balance transfers with a promotional interest rate, any payment that exceeds the minimum payment will be allocated proportionately to those balances according to the terms set out in section 14 of the BMO Mastercard Cardholder Agreement. For example, if you have an $800 purchases balance at the standard interest rate and a $200 balance transfer balance at a promotional interest rate, 80 per cent of your payment will be allocated to your purchases balance and 20 percent will be allocated to your balance transfer balance. This offer may be withdrawn or changed without notice.
e) You will pay interest on purchases unless you pay your full Account balance by the payment due date. For example, if you complete a balance transfer for $5,000 and spend $2,000 in purchases during the same statement period, you must pay the entire balance of $7,000 before the payment due date to avoid paying interest on your purchases. You will be charged interest if you only pay the amount owing for your purchases. There is no interest-free grace period for cash advances or balance transfers.
f) To transfer balances from non-BMO credit card accounts, register for Online Banking or log in at bmo.com and do the following; select your Mastercard account, then select Set up Balance Transfer or Pre-authorized payment, then select Credit Card Balance Transfer and follow the instructions to complete the transfer. - Offer is cumulative over the statement period. Award of AIR MILES Reward Miles is made for purchases charged to your account (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) and is subject to the AIR MILES Terms and Conditions and the BMO Mastercard Cardholder Agreement. The number of Miles will be rounded down to the nearest whole number. Fractions of Miles will not be awarded.
- Earn Miles twice when you use your BMO AIR MILES Mastercard or BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard and show your AIR MILES Card at AIR MILES Partners. The amount of Miles you earn depends on the earn rate offered by the AIR MILES Partner and the earn rate offered on your BMO AIR MILES credit card.
- BMO AIR MILES Mastercard cardholders will earn 3 AIR MILES Reward Miles for every $25 in purchases at participating AIR MILES Partners. Participating AIR MILES Partners may be added or removed at any time without notice, visit airmiles.ca/3xMiles for Partner details. Miles will be calculated on the total eligible cumulative purchases made at all participating AIR MILES Partners and credited to your account within 90 days after the end of the applicable statement period. The number of Miles earned will be rounded down to the nearest whole number. Fractions of Miles will not be awarded. Eligible approved applicants will receive:
i. A bonus of 3,000 Bonus Miles will be applied to the primary Credit Cardholder’s Collector Account 110 days after the credit card account open date after you spend a minimum of $4,500 (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) within the first 110 days after the account open date.
ii. A further bonus of an additional 2,000 Bonus Miles will be applied to the primary Credit Cardholder’s Collector 180 days after the account open date when you spend a minimum of $10,000 (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) within the first 180 days after the account open date.
iii. An additional bonus of 2,000 Bonus Miles will be applied the primary Credit Cardholder’s Collector 365 days after the account open date when you spend $20,000 (less refunds and excluding cash advances, cash-like transactions, interest charges, fees, credit or debit adjustments) within the first 365 days after the account open date.
iv. All Bonus Miles are credited in accordance with the set balance preference (between AIR MILES Cash and AIR MILES Dream balances) at the time of posting. The AIR MILES Bonus Miles Offer is subject to the AIR MILES Reward Program Terms and Conditions. Limit of one AIR MILES Bonus Miles Welcome Offer per Collector Number.

After the first year, the annual fee will appear on your Credit Card statement twelve (12) months after the Credit Card open date. The Annual Fee Waiver Offer does not apply to the Additional Card annual fee.
c) Exclusive 25% Flight Booking Discount (up to a value of $75 worth in Cash Miles): If you have the BMO AIR MILES World Elite Mastercard, once per calendar year when you redeem Reward Miles for any flight booking, you will receive a 25% discount on the number of AIR MILES Reward Miles that are usually required (to a maximum of 750 Reward Miles) when you book through airmiles.ca or by calling 1-888-247-6453. The flight booking discount applies to the full flight booking and will be distributed equally on each ticket included in the booking, to a maximum of 750 Miles total. For example, if your booking included three 1,500 Miles flights totalling 4,500 Miles, then each flight would receive a 250 Miles discount, and you’d be required to redeem 3,750 Miles for the booking. Any portion of the maximum 750 allocated discounted Miles unused in the one eligible flight booking transaction will be forfeited. You can choose when to apply the discount – for example, on your first flight booking in the calendar year; or save it to apply on another flight booking later in the year – but it can only be used once per calendar year with no carry-overs allowed to the following year. For greater clarification, the 25% flight booking discount resets every calendar year and cannot be accumulated over the years. This benefit can only be reset for the collector to use in the same calendar year if the original booking where the benefit was used is cancelled under all of the following conditions: (i) the booking was cancelled in full (not for partial cancellations; i.e., one ticket), (ii) the cancellation happens within the same year of booking, and (iii) the airline issues a full refund for the booking. This benefit does not apply to Cash + Miles rewards. There are no blackout periods for flight redemptions. This benefit does not apply to the cash portion of the flight redemption (such as airport improvement fees and booking fees) or to the flight component of package vacations and cruises. Grocery purchases at participating AIR MILES Partners will be not be eligible for this offer; however, they will continue to earn the “3x the Miles” benefit. For a list of current participating partners, please visit airmiles.ca/BMOpartners. Bonus Miles will be earned on eligible grocery purchases up to a combined maximum of $500 in net purchases posted to your account per statement cycle period. Once the maximum is reached, purchases will no longer be eligible for this offer.
