We send alerts to keep you informed of activity in your account, including suspicious activity. BMO Alerts are split into 3 categories: bank account, credit card and line of credit.

  • Feel Secure

    We’ll let you know if we suspect any unusual activity on your BMO debit card and if you need to change your PIN.

  • Stay on top of your balance

    Avoid overdrafts by setting up alerts for a minimum balance plus to stay in the know about large withdrawals or large deposits. Same Day Grace. Plus stay in the know about large withdrawals and deposits.
  • View eStatements

    If you like to review your transactions, set up an alert to know when your eStatement is ready.

Setting up your BMO Alerts is simple and fast. Here’s how to get started in three easy steps.

    It’s easy! Go to bmo.com and sign in to BMO Online Banking.

    Click “Profile & Settings” on the top right, then under Settings, select “Alert preferences”.

    Choose the alerts you want us to send and set the dollar amounts.
